Summertime Haul

Hi everyone!

This week I'm going back to basics with a little beauty haul for you all (I love doing these! wahoo!).

Now instead of doing monthly hauls I thought it would be nice to show you what goodies that have caught my attention. These products I have bought either on the high street or online over the past couple of months in preparation for Summertime.

So... here is what I've bought:

Loreal Paris Studio Line Hot and Big Hair Spray

Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm

Revolution Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Peach Club

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Hot Pepper

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick in Pink in Paris

Loreal Mega Volume Manga Mascara

Collection Eyebrow Kit in Dark

Bourjois Maxi Delight Bronzer in Number 2

Loreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Mist for Fine Hair

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Lipstick in Peach Passion

I'm excited to try these products out. A few of them were 'researched' before I purchased but others were just complete impulse buys.

It should be interesting to see how I get on with all of these as it's too often I just impulse buy something now.

I will come back with a review soon on how I get on with all of these.

What did you guys treat yourself to for the Summer?

Thanks for reading!

What's in my Makeup Bag?

Hi and welcome back my lovelies! :)

This week I thought a nice blog post about what is currently in my makeup bag as I've got this lovely new makeup bag case for my birthday last month.

First of all the bag itself is the gorgeous, Hannah Maggs Makeup Bag in 'The Benevolent'! This is one of the new designs Hannah has brought out and I must say it's gorgeous! I will have a nice blog post about these soon to go in more detail.

My brushes in my bag are:
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - This one is great for foundation and buffing in any concealer.
Models Own Powder Brush - Just a standard powder brush.
Real Techniques Blush Brush - My go to blush brush.
Real Techniques Shading Brush - Finally this is a nice eyeshadow brush.

Now onto the makeup, primers and sprays that I use...
Maybelline Babyskin Primer - Great to create a nice even base on your skin before foundation.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in 51 - This shade is a touch too dark for me but I LOVE the formula of this! It just glides on and is a nice medium coverage too.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair - A beauty blogger favourite. This concealer is just amazing! It's better than a lot of the high-end concealers and is a fraction of the price at £4.49!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - This is a firm favourite too. Nice and simple powder and again budget friendly at £3.99.
Mary-Lou Manizer - The Luminizer - This is one of my new products (shown in my latest haul also) but it's amazing!! It's a gorgeous golden highlighter and it just transforms my makeup.
Bourjois Blusher in 34 Golden Rose - This is another new product and I can't quite make my mind up on how I feel about it, so at the moment it's in my case to try out. Watch this space! :)
Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Bronze Palette - I bought these on a whim as I thought the shades looked gorgeous and again it was a bargain! Soon after trying it and loving it, it seemed that other bloggers had also loved it and now it's hard to find them in the stores! I love it! It's just a lovely little set to use day to day and it's travel friendly too.
Primark Shape and Shade Brow Pencil in Dark Brown - I use this to fill my eyebrows but I think Primark have renamed it all and they have a new name for this range now. I just love it. It does the trick but I'm sure there are better brow products out there. I'm going to use this one up and then go shopping and venture out for a new one!
No7 Amazing Eyes Eyeliner in Black - Again this is another firm favourite. For some reason I'm loving pencil eyeliner again instead of gel or pen eyeliners. This one is always my favourite to go to. It's soft so is gentle on the eyes and I love that it has a little buffer on the other end to help blend it for a softer look.
Maybelline Lash Sensational - I'm in love with this mascara. You will have probably seen that I've posted about this a few times already, but it truly is that good! It makes my lashes look fuller, longer and nicely natural too.
Bourjois Shine Lipstick in 26 - This lipstick is gorgeous for an everyday look and as I'm trying to move away from using Mac everyday as it can get pricey I've moved to this gorgeous little lipstick.
Mac Lustre Lipstick in Lovelorn - This is when I feel like a little more of a pick me up or dressing up my makeup a little. Lovelorn is gorgeous, it's a warm pinky shade that lasts well on the lips. Again one of my favourite from Mac.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray - Finally if I'm having a heavy day or I'm really chuffed with my makeup and I would like it to stay that way I use this stuff. This stuff is great and just seals in your look so it doesnt budge. I would buy this over and over again now I've tried it - it's just a fab little product!

So here is a little look-see of what I have in my makeup bag. If you've noticed my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is missing (you clever lot!), it's because it crumbled all over the floor just before this picture (ha!).

I hope you enjoyed my post this week. I love seeing what you guys use everyday and also what products you would recommend - if you have any suggestions please comment below. I would love to have an excuse to buy some more makeup! :)

My Current Everyday Spring Makeup Routine

Hello again and welcome back to my blog!

This week I'm showing you my current makeup routine for Spring.

Now some of these products are well loved and so look a little tatty and may not even be sold anymore but this is an honest post on my everyday products for Spring and so here we go...

First I start with my eye makeup. I know this may seem odd but I hate any fallout from my eye shadow going on my face and so to avoid that I do my eyes first. I'm currently using the Collection Eye Uncovered Pallet in Nude Bronze and am loving it. I use the lightest shade in the corners of my eyes to make them look wide awake and then the gold/bronze shade for the rest of my lid. To finish I add a little eyeliner across my lashline using the No7 Stay Perfect Eyeliner. This eyeliner I've used for years and it's so soft and longlasting that I haven't needed to try anything else.

Next I apply my foundation; I'm currently using Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in Shade 51. I love, love, love this foundation. It's a great formula and just glides over my skin giving me a nice medium coverage - not too heavy and not too light either. My only issue is that the lightest shade (51), is a little too dark for me still and so am hoping they will bring out another light shade for me to try one day. I apply this foundation with my real techniques buffing brush and also apply my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on any blemishes and blend that in also. To set this base I use my beloved Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent.

I then fill my eyebrows with an Eyebrow pencil from Primark. Now I have no idea what this is called as the text has rubbed off and since trying to buy another they've stopped selling it. They look like they have another version which may be similar but I have yet to try it. The pencil I have though is great, I use shade dark brown and lightly fill my brows then use the brush at the end to blend a little so it appears more natural.

I will then add a little blush, I'm currently using my Bourjois Blush in 16 Rose Coup De Foudre. This blusher is lovely but as I love a slightly heavier blush than most I would say needs to be applied 'heavily' compared to some other blushers. I love the natural pink/peach glow that this gives you.

The finished look is this...

My March Favourite's

Hello again everyone!

This week I thought I would share my March favourites with you. I have included in here a few new items as well as some old faithful items. I hope you enjoy! :-)

First up I have the, Garnier Olia Hair Colour Treatment in 4.15 Iced Chocolate. Now this stuff is fab and I'm not sure why I haven't mentioned it before. I tend to dye my hair every 3 or so months as I dye it close to my natural shade so don't really show any roots (well I hope anyway, ha!). I have used this dye for about a year or so and I actually used it again last night to give me a refresh on the product itself. Now this dye has no ammonia in it so it's really kind to your hair, and it shows too! Every time I use this it leaves my hair glossy and healthy looking (weirdly, but I'm not complaining!). I also like the fact that due to having no ammonia it doesn't have that horrid strong hair colour scent either. It's really easy to apply and after 30 minutes (if you dye it every 3 months or so) you wash it out and apply a conditioner that's also in the pack. I love this, it's kind to my hair, leaves a colour that is true to the box and is easy to do at home, wahoo!

Now this is a new product that I purchased a week ago and sadly it hasn't lived up to my hopes and dreams. It's the Bourjois CC Eye Cream Concealer. Now perhaps the clue is in the name and I should have tried another concealer, however the formula of his is way too creamy for my liking. Even after letting it set into my skin it leaves creases and when I apply a setting powder it looks really cakey. Sadly I will not be repurchasing this one, it was nice to try something new but this just doesn't perform for my skin. Ps I have no idea why I put this in a favourites - perhaps because I'd hoped it would be?! (blame my baby brain!!)

The next new product I tried this month was Bourjois Blush in 16 Rose Coup De Foudre. Now this blusher is stunning. It's a peachy shade with a hint of shimmer in it and it's just perfect for Spring time. The shade itself actually reminds me of Nars Orgasm Blusher but it's a little less pink and more peach. For a 1/3 of the price defiantly worth a try. This has overtaken my love of the NYX Blusher Pinched (a dupe of the Nars Blusher Orgasm) as it's just that much softer of a shade.

Another new beauty product I tried this month is the Collection Eye Uncovered Pallet in Nude Bronze. Now firstly this pallet in my opinion is great for traveling as well as for everyday use. The shades are stunning and this bronze pallet has shimmery eye shadows in it which I thought would be perfect for this time of the year. This is a bargain purchase at only £2.99 as it has everything you need for your eyeshadow, including a highlighter and a darker shade for your crease. My only wish for this is that there be a nice brush and a mirror, but for £2.99 you can't really complain can you?! :-)

My last beauty product favourite for this month is the Essie Nail Polish in Sunday Funday. I bought this last year but I applied it again recently and several people thought I had been to a salon to get my nails done. Now I'm not sure whether this was because of the shade or the finish, but as always with Essie polishes they're great and my absolute favourite brand. They're a little more expensive than the standard highstreet brand but they last and give a high quality professional finish too. This shade is just gorgeous, it's a peachy pink with a hint of shimmer - this will match my new blusher perfectly!

Now onto a couple of random favourites for the month... firstly my new iPhone case by New Look. This was £5.99 in New Look and as I keep finding myself being more busy in my daily routine I have also become more clumsy. To try and protect my phone from damage I thought a cute little case would help. This one is very girly. It has a nude pink shade to it and little diamontee's all over - just very me and it goes with most things so doesn't tend to clash with my outfits.

Lastly this random favourite was a naughty treat to myself, my Ted Baker Purse. This purse is also very me... it's pink with rose gold detail and it has a bow as the clasp! If I were to design a purse this would be it! I treated myself after becoming a new Mommy. This is just perfect, every time I open my handbag this lovely gem just picks up my mood.

I hope you enjoyed my monthly favourites for March. If this is the type of blog post you would like to see more of please let me know and I will try and do them monthly for you all :-)
